A Quick Stroll Through our Farmhouse Bathroom Shelves Refresh

Last week while doing my part to flatten the curve during this pandemic, I decided to do a little farmhouse bathroom shelf refresh! Because we are staying home and only leaving the house for essentials, I had to shop our home for this refresh. Luckily I had several small shelf items on hand from the many tiered trays I’ve done. Many of those items transferred over beautifully to these little bathroom shelves.

We added these shelves to our master about a year ago. At that time I purchased these square glass canisters to hold many of the items we use regularly. When planning this refresh I decided to keep the glass canisters and just make changes to the decorative pieces. These glass containers are perfect for showing the contents of the jars. They also make these ordinary items (cotton balls, Q Tips, beauty sponges, etc) look styled. I love how they look on these shelves.

For this neutral design I played up the wood elements that started with these farmhouse reclaimed shelves. The beads, the little bath salt scoop, the cover of the candle and “Love” sign all play off the shelving. The glass candle mixes well with the glass canisters which are repeated on both shelves. The greens balance the design and the paper stars add a pop of unexpected fun!

I played around with the height of each element making sure to offer different heights throughout the shelves. For added interest I stacked items where I could, you can see the smaller glass canisters stacked well as did this little plant sitting on these exfoliating towels with beads.
