Mother’s day is right around the corner! On Instagram I’m joining a few of my best IG friends sharing a Mother’s Day gift Idea! For my Mom I decided to put together a pretty bathroom tray with a few special products. Once I had my gift idea I reached out to 4 of my favorite small businesses to see if they wanted to collaborate on this project. I love supporting small businesses – especially during this difficult time and felt this was good opportunity to share these amazing small shops with my readers! If you’ve been watching my Instagram stories, you’ve witnessed all the boxes of goodies coming in! It’s been so fun!
Let’s first chat about the design of this tray then below I’ll highlight each of the companies that contributed to this Mother’s Day gift idea.
About the Gift
Fortunately my Mom’s bathroom vanity has a lot of open space, which made planning this tray all the more fun. I wish I could take you to her bathroom to show you how beautifully decorated it is. She always has pretty hand towels, soaps and flowers on display, so I knew she would love this gift! Like me, she also loves to change things up – I think that’s hereditary, lol!
I first picked out this beautiful beaded wooden tray from Vintage Farmhouse Finds. This tray, which is technically a dessert stand, has the prettiest beaded edge and I knew the distressed white finish would work perfectly for this design and match my mothers bathroom decor.
Next I reached out to Belinda of The Graceful Rabbit. She has the most beautiful bath and beauty products! I just love her packaging and knew the simple design on her packaging and labels would be perfect on display, although I do hope my Mom will enjoy USING the products too! Included are: shea butter soaps, sea sponge soap, hand and body creme and exfoliating sugar cubes.
For the candle, I reached out to Katie from Katie and Company. Again, a simple glass jar with an understated yet polished label, perfect! I have been dying to try one of Katie’s candles and this Succulent Garden smells heavenly! This candle will have my Mom feeling as though she is in a fancy spa – while in her own home!
Last was a stop in at my favorite small local shop, Gracefully Restored. There I found all the greens and floral stems to tie this gift together! Included are these beautiful peonies, succulent bush, spring greenery spray, blush and greenery spray and urn.
About the Small Businesses
Below I’m sharing the small businesses who partnered with me for this Mother’s Day Gift Idea. I’m so appreciative of their willingness to sponsor this post. Please take a moment to peruse their beautiful online shops, you will be glad you did!
Katie is a master furniture refinisher and owner of Katie and Company. This is how I originally found my way to her. Her stunning green antique dresser was the inspiration for my green apothecary. Katie also has a thriving candle making business and I was so excited to get my hands on her Succulent Garden candle. Katie and her family live on a farm in rural Iowa, she’s a creative, a maker, a shop owner, a mom and wife and a self proclaimed vintage hoarder (she’s a girl after my own heart!)
Amy and Amber, sisters in Arizona started Vintage Farmhouse Finds 5 years ago as a way to share their love for vintage and farmhouse decor with others. VFF is primarily an online store however Amber and Amy often participate in vintage markets in the Meso, Arizona area. I simply adore their collections and their love for decor shines through in their selections for their shop. They love helping people decorate their unique spaces and they shared with me that VFF has been a dream come true for them.
Belinda at The Graceful Rabbit has the most beautiful line of luxurious bath and beauty products. Belinda brings her experience of being an Aesthetician and her love for gardening in creating her products. The Graceful Rabbit’s line includes artisan soaps, hand and body creme, lip balms, sea sponge soaps and my favorite, exfoliating sugar cubes. Fragrances include such things as white tea and bergamot, sandalwood and rose, raspberry and vanilla, hibiscus, milk and honey. Belinda’s attention to detail is seen in her exquisite packaging and she has the sweetest Graceful Rabbit logo. Belinda lives in Barrington, NH with her husband and two goldendoodles. She is also the mother of two grown daughters.
Gracefully Restored is a beautiful home decor shop located in downtown Holliston, MA. The shop features French country, farmhouse and rustic decor. Gracefully Restored has the best faux florals around as Susan the shop owner takes great care with selecting only the highest quality of botanically correct florals. One of my favorite things about Gracefully Restored is that it is never the same store twice with new finds every time I stop by. Susan’s talent for displaying home decor is apparent the moment you walk through the door. Gracefully Restored has such a warm friendly atmosphere and it’s one of my favorite places to be! Susan lives in Hopkinton, MA with her husband and two sons.
