Why Does My Aloe Have Black Spots?

And Aloe plant care tips

Aloe Vera (Aloe Barbadensis) is a popular plant with some pretty cool health benefits

Aloe plants are known as a medicinal plant and are great for healing minor burns and soothing sunburns

Indoor aloe vera is fairly easy to care for but has a notoriously slow growth rate

Aloe is also susceptible to black spots.

Black spots are usually a sign of over-watering, fungal infection or sunburn.

Fear not, I have some care tips to get the best out of your Aloe and keep it healthy.

Always keep in mind, Aloe Vera plants need good drainage so for best results choose a pot with drainage holes.

Aloe does well in succulent potting soil which  includes coarse sand, perlite, lava rock and/or chunks of bark

Water aloe vera plants deeply, but infrequently

Aloe Vera needs bright, natural light to grow and thrive

You may boost the growth rate with fertilizer. Use a fertilizer specifically made for succulents
