How to use Floral Foam (tips from a floral designer)

There are two types of  floral foam, lets discuss!

Dry foam is used for faux flowers and plants or dried flowers. Anything that doesn't need water.

Wet foam holds water for fresh flowers to pull from.

The first step for both foams is to fit it in your container. You can do this by slicing the foam with a knife

For fresh flower foam, be sure to saturate it with water first

For both fresh and dry foam its a good idea to cover the foam with moss

So you cant see the foam through the flowers

Once your foam is in place and covered, you can move to designing!

For fresh flowers cut your stems with a design knife or scissors

For dried and faux flowers use wire cutters or sharp scissors

Don't forget to add water to your fresh flower arrangement
