What I'm Loving Lately - January 2026
After the holidays, I always find myself paying more attention to the little things that make everyday life feel easier and more comfortable. Nothing flashy, just pieces we're actually gifting, using and enjoying around the house.
Here are a few things I've been loving lately, from gifts to cozy home updates to small, practical finds that have quietly earned their place.

New Living Room Seating
We needed a little more seating, so we're shifting things around in the living room to add two new chairs. The simple style won me over, and the price made it even better. I'll share pics soon!

New Shoe Closet Cabinets
We've been talking about this foreverā¦
I wanted to turn our spare room into a walk-in closet, and he needed an office. And just like that he can never say I don't compromise :), lol
We are hitting two birds with one stone and adding my shoe closet into his office.
We're starting with these inexpensive cabinets (that look expensive) and planning to build them into the wall for a custom - ahem⦠hidden - look. I'll be writing and sharing this project soon!

Huge Botanical Canvas'
I've had my eye on these Sugarboo botanical canvases for a long time, and I finally bought two for our bedroom. I had envisioned them hanging side by side, but I didn't fully realize just how large they are (63" x 32"). One ended up over my dresser, and the other found a spot in our upstairs hallway. I love how they soften both spaces.
Reading:
More reading, less scrolling in 2026! Books I'm currently reading, are on my list or were recommended by you! (Thank you!)
Beauty:
For Christmas I made the girls evening spa boxes, they each got a book and these beauty/relaxation gifts! (the Kate McLeod lotion bar is amazing and the portable personal humidifier is wonderful!)
I also bought this Frankincense and Castor Oil Rose Quartz Roller with Organic Cold-Pressed Castor Oil! I've loved castor oil for a long time and have spent years reading about it and using it in different ways. It truly is a miracle worker. Having it in a roller like this makes it feel special and easy to use. I tend to have very dry skin, especially in the winter, and this has become part of my evening routine. I essentially douse my face with it before bed, and even after just a few days, my skin feels more moisturized and smoother. Honestly, I'm not surprised at all. Castor oil has a way of quietly doing exactly what it promises.
Wearing:
Speaking of being spoiled, my kids also surprised me with my favorite perfume, D.K.N.Y. Be Delicious. I've been wearing the same scent for at least 15 years now. One Christmas, my husband set out on a mission to Macy's to find the perfect perfume for me, and somehow, he absolutely nailed it. I've tried switching things up over the years, but I always come back to this one. When someone gets it that right, there's really no reason to change.
What makes it even sweeter is that my kids know this is my signature scent. It's the one they associate with me, and they'll often replenish it for me around the holidays without even asking. There's something really special about a scent carrying that kind of familiarity and memory. It feels like home.
Listening to:
Blink is a true-story podcast about Jake Haendel, who is given a terminal diagnosis and slips into a coma doctors believe he won't survive. Fully conscious but unable to communicate, Jake listens as the world around him slowly moves on, until one voice changes everything and forces him to confront how he got there and what survival might mean. An incredible story. Apple voted it best for 2025! (Available where ever you listen)

Listening with:
They spoil me - the kids, that is. Meet my new Bose Open Ear Buds, a collaboration between Bose and Kendra Scott. They're so pretty, and if you haven't experienced open-ear earbuds before, they're a game changer. You can enjoy your music while still hearing what's going on around you, which makes them perfect for everyday life.

Staying Comfy and Cozy with:
You know my love for these cheap slippers runs deep! I buy a pair a couple of times a year and they are on major sale right now (just $11.99 !). I wear these all day long - if I'm home - which is often!
That's a wrap for this month. I'm planning to share these favorites regularly, and I'm always happy to answer questions or share more details if you're curious about anything I mentioned.
Happy shopping, friends.
