Happenings Around the Nest - Week 19

This Week's Happenings Around the Nest

Just a few happenings around the nest this week, a little bit of spring, something special, and what I've been working on behind the scenes and a fun re-watch.

Here's what's been happening around the nest.

Spring is finally showing up in New England

Spring is finally starting to show up here in Massachusetts, and I'm so ready for it. On our morning walk with Ray and the girls, you can see everything just starting to come back, tiny green leaves, a little rain still sitting on them, and that shift from winter to spring finally happening.

These morning walks have really become one of my favorite parts of the day. It's such a good way to start things off before getting into work, just getting outside, moving a bit, and noticing what's changing week to week (Ray gets a rundown on what's starting to bloom, lol).

It also has me thinking about my herb garden again. I know it won't be long before I'm back out there getting everything cleaned up and growing for the season.

A moment I'm still soaking in

I had a really special moment this week, my China Wreath featured in Martha Stewart, which still feels a little surreal to say. It's one of those milestones you don't really expect, and I'm so grateful for it.

At the same time, it felt a little bittersweet. My mom was a huge fan of Martha Stewart, so I couldn't help but think of her when I saw it. She always appreciated anything creative and seasonal, and I know she would have been so proud. It definitely felt like one of those moments I wish I could share with her.

What I've been working on lately

Behind the scenes, I've been working on a series of charcuterie posts, and it really brings together so many of the things I love. It's a little bit of food, a little bit of styling, and a little bit of creativity, all in one.

More than anything, it fits into how we actually live. When the kids come over or we're just putting something simple together at home, it's usually this kind of easy, gather-around style of food. Nothing too complicated, just good ingredients, put together in a way that feels a little special. It's been fun to build out content that reflects that.

What I'm watching

I've been deep into Mad Men again and honestly… I forgot how much I love it.

I've been meaning to rewatch the series for a while, and once I started, I was all in. The style, the writing, the way they capture that time period, it's just so well done. Every detail feels intentional, from the sets to the dialogue to the pacing.

And then there's Don Draper… I mean… what can I say. LOL.

It's one of those shows where you notice something new every time you watch it, and I'm fully leaning into it this time around. Have you watching it again lately?

Missed the last few weeks? Catch up here!

Wishing you a great weekend ahead. I hope it's a good one, and as always, feel free to reach out. I always love hearing from you.
